“Brands Battle 2019”

A festival-competition for knowledge of marketing and branding was held at the Ala-Too International University. The event was organized by the Management Department and the Management Club on April 25, 2019.
 
The festival was attended by over 240 students from schools and universities. The competition consisted of three stages. During registration, the participants took part in the musical interactive part of the event and competed in various entertainment categories. Participants could take pictures or shoot videos, posting their creations with a special hashtag # BrandsBattle2019 on various social media web platforms.
 
In the first round, the participants answered 100 questions in team mode for 40 minutes. The questions were about 40 selected brands from the world, the CIS and Kyrgyzstan. After the coffee break, the participants showed their knowledge of 8 brands represented in Kyrgyzstan and acting as partners-sponsors of the event. The connoisseurs-winners of this stage received valuable gifts from sponsors. Such brands as “Artel”, “Pir”, “Kulikovsky”, SMS Taxi, KTRK, “Rakhmet” tea, Akun and MegaCom acted as sponsors.
 
The top 5 teams from the first round reached the final stage. In this round, students from universities and colleges based on the 11th grade competed separately from students from schools and colleges on the basis of the 9th grade. A jury of sponsor representatives and experts assessed the knowledge of the finalists through challenging assignments. Team “007” became the champion in the “School” category. The champion in the “University” category was the “Cactus” team from the IT Academy. The festival ended with the solemn presentation of certificates and gifts to the winners. After such an educational festival, the organizers plan to hold similar events every year, bringing more and more innovations to them.
